Larry Flynn is not just an auctioneer; he is an overseer, an advisor and a fundraising specialist for your upcoming fundraising event. For Larry, performing in front of an audience has always been a way of life. The former radio broadcasters professional microphone experience began in 1977 when he became the “Ringmaster” for The Ashtons Circus of Australia. At age 18, Larry was billed as “The youngest Professional Ringmaster in the World.”
In 1982 Larry graduated from Washington State University earning a degree in Communications with an emphasis on Radio and Television Broadcast and Production. After graduation, Larry followed his passion for broadcasting by holding a wide range of positions at various Northwest radio stations. Ten years later Larry was voted the “Valley′s Best Disc Jockey” in Sun Valley, and in 1993, SKI Magazine named him their “Favorite Ski Town DJ.”
Since 1988, Larry has helped create and worked with many fundraising groups and organizations around the country. He began his charity auction career in the resort community of Sun Valley, Idaho. There, Larry conducted numerous auctions and fundraising events for charity.
In 1999, Larry began a three-year relationship with Christopher Reeve and the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. Working with CRPF gave Larry immense experience with large, celebrity related events and large-scale fundraisers all over America, including the Christopher Reeve Birthday Bash in Time-Square, New York City. That event led to other large-scale events such as the Rita Hayworth Gala for Alzheimer's held each year at the Waldorf-Astoria, also in NYC.
Many of Larry's fundraisers are for health-related issues, although it is not uncommon to see Larry in action for animals, children and the arts. Based in Boise, Idaho since 2003, Larry is also an Eagle Scout, past-President of the Sun Valley/Ketchum Rotary Club and a current member of the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
